Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion features simple exploration, sailing, and turn-based combat controls. Outside of battles you will spend most of your time exploring islands, steering your ship across the flooded Land of Ooo, interacting with NPCs, and solving environmental puzzles. Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion separates exploration from combat. Exploration uses real-time movement and platforming, while combat is entirely turn-based using menus and each character's unique abilities.
- Switch characters with L1/R1 (LB/RB) to use each hero's unique overworld abilities.
- Triangle / Y interacts with NPCs, objects, and also opens the Navigation App when available.
- Square / X fires the ship's cannon while sailing and serves as the Primary Ability outside navigation.
- The Map is useful for locating islands, quests, and fast navigation between objectives.
- Camera sensitivity and invert-axis options can be adjusted from the Controls menu.
